How to get free tickets
SF Choral is proud to offer complimentary tickets to our concerts to junior high and senior high school students through our Tickets for Kids program. Tickets are free for junior high and high school students. Just choose a performance (Mendelssohn’s Elijah is coming right up on August 18 and 19!) and email the San Francisco Choral Society at with names, ages, schools and the preferred date. Adults are welcome to accompany the students, but only the Tickets for Kids are free.
About the program
We started this program in earnest in 2007, with generous financial support from The Wells Fargo Foundation, The Bernard Osher Foundation, and private donors. Since then, we have provided more than 1000 tickets to students throughout the Bay Area. The response has been tremendous, and we want to extend the reach of the program by encouraging all of our members and supporters to spread the word.
Our vision for offering free concert tickets to the youth of our community is to introduce them to choral music and inspire in them a life-enriching appreciation for the choral arts. Perhaps some of the young people will be inspired to cultivate their own musical inclinations and join our chorus through our music scholar apprenticeship program!
