Join Us for Rachmaninoff’s 1915 Masterpiece!

Rachmaninoff's "All-Night Vigil"

Please make plans now to join us:  Friday, April 27 or Saturday, April 28.

We’ll be performing Sergei Rachmaninoff’s glorious All-Night Vigil.  The lovely and acoustically stunning St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco will be the perfect setting for this Russian choral masterwork.

Rachmaninoff wrote his All-Night Vigil in 1915. Only two years later, in the aftermath of the Revolution, Russia banned religious music; but the All-Night Vigil is still known as the greatest musical achievement of the Russian Orthodox church – as well as perhaps Rachmaninoff’s finest achievement.

Read more about the composer and the work, which Rachmaninoff wrote in just two weeks.

We’ll be posting soloists and other details as the information becomes available, so please check back again soon!
